Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy
On-Call Services Agreement

The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy serves drinking water to 420,000 residents in Utah's Salt Lake valley. In 1999, the District initiated a substantial capital improvements project that included the expansion of the District's Little Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant from 113 MGD to 150 MGD, and the addition of a new 75 MGD state-of-the-art water treatment plant named Point of the Mountain WTP. The District retained the services of WQTS under a general services agreement to support District staff in planning for the new projects, prepare RFPs, review RFPs, gather and analyze pilot testing data, and review preliminary and final designs. WQTS has also been supporting District staff in evaluating and optimizing the performance of their current water treatment processes.
